With Zhi Mu, clears Heat from the Lungs and Stomach to alleviate irritability, moisten dryness, and enrich Yin. With Zhi Mu, Gan Cao and Jing Mi, for Heat in the Qi or Yang Ming Stage. With Ren Shen, for excessive Heat with Qi Deficiency. |

Glycyrrhizae Preparata | Zhi Gan Cao | 2-6g | Tonifies the Spleen, augments Qi, moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs. With Jing Mi, benefits the Stomach, protects fluids, and prevents the extremely Cold properties of the other herbs from injuring the Middle Jiao. |
